Aromatherapy, for those new to
the subject, can be defined as: ‘The
holistic treatment based on the use of essential aromatic plant oils to
maintain and promote physical, physiological and spiritual wellbeing. The
essential oils may be used in massage, added to a warm bath, used to moisten a
compress that is applied to the affected part of the body, added to a vaporiser
for inhalation, or diffused throughout a room.’
Though the methods stated above
are both practical and effective, here at ‘Scents-ible
Solutions’ we believe that we can add a touch of luxury and finesse to your
aromatherapy experience.
Founded by Helen Hammond in 2002
after gaining a Diploma in Aromatherapy, the ethos of the company is extremely
family oriented and aimed at promoting a holistic approach to health and
wellbeing.
The award winning ‘Aromatherapy
for Alzheimer’s’ programme was designed by another family member, Jackie
Farnell. It is Helen’s desire to support this study and she has produced
specifically designed aromatherapy items for both Alzheimer’s patients and
their carers. The feedback received from users being collated and fed into the
study programme, the results of which are very encouraging.
Helen says: ‘I believe that our
natural environment holds all of the materials and ingredients needed to
produce moisturising, nourishing and healing products, without the need for
harsh chemical or synthetic materials. Whilst I strongly believe that
conventional and holistic medicine can work well together, I also believe that
we should listen to our bodies and trust what it tells us, allowing us to
choose between medication and therapy.’
In keeping with the natural image
of the company, all of the ingredients used are ethically sourced, neither are
they tested on animals and unless otherwise stated, suitable for vegans. All
products are made especially to order, ensuring that clients receive the
highest quality possible.
